Now that progress is being made on multiple fronts, regarding the Loudoun Economic Development Commission’s “Just 3 Things” New/Social Media effort, along with our own “Made in Loudoun” online Loudoun marketing promotion, here are some tips for Loudoun businesses looking for easy, relevant ways to help.

The premise of these initiatives is that Loudoun businesses and economic vitality stakeholders can and should leverage their own developing online assets in ways that help promote the County as a great place to invest, to work, to live. We need more Loudoun business news like this. By “developing online assets”, we mean websites, social media presence, new media/Web 2.0 capabilities, email campaigns, online advertising and marketing.

While the County is progressing itself on these fronts, via actions by the Department of Economic Development, Loudoun Small Business Development Center, the Loudoun County Office of Rural Economic Development, the Loudoun Chamber of Commerce and the Loudoun Visitor’s Association (“Visit Loudoun”), local businesses have lots to offer themselves. Note that this is a very unique and social initiative, where businesses are voluntarily investing in and supporting the broader community, including their competitors.
